Doug is a construction professional with more than three decades of experience managing complex commercial and residential projects in the United States and Mexico. Born in Connecticut, he began his career in the construction industry as a laborer and carpenter’s assistant, developing a hands-on understanding of building that continues to shape his work today.

 

After earning a degree in Building Construction Technology from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1985, Doug assumed leadership of his family’s firm, CS Margison Builders and Construction Managers. Under his direction, the company expanded its portfolio to include high-end commercial construction as well as custom residential projects.

 

Doug has overseen the construction of multimillion-dollar homes throughout Connecticut, Block Island in Rhode Island, and San José del Cabo in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Known for his meticulous planning and attention to detail, he remains closely involved in every project, ensuring that each is delivered with exceptional craftsmanship, efficiency, and respect for the client’s vision.

Doug approaches construction as a disciplined process built on planning, craftsmanship, and accountability. With decades of hands-on experience, he believes that successful projects begin with a clear understanding of the design intent and a commitment to executing every detail with precision.

His approach emphasizes careful coordination between clients, architects, engineers, and trades to ensure that each project moves efficiently from concept through completion. By maintaining strong communication and active site involvement, Doug ensures that construction quality, schedule, and budget remain closely aligned with the client’s expectations.

 

Rather than prioritizing rapid expansion, Doug has built his reputation on reliability, consistency, and long-term relationships. Every project is approached with the same objective: to deliver exceptional construction quality while respecting the vision of the design team and the investment of the client.

Partner/Founder

Alex is a Mexico-trained architect with more than two decades of experience designing and building luxury residences in Los Cabos. A graduate of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), he relocated to San José del Cabo in 2001 and has since been involved in the development of some of the region’s most prestigious residential communities.

 

Over the course of his career, Alex has overseen the design and construction of more than 50 custom homes in exclusive enclaves, including Villas del Mar, Punta Ballena, Puerto Los Cabos, and Pedregal.

 

In 2012, he founded his own studio, bringing together architecture, construction expertise, and project leadership under one vision. The firm is dedicated to creating refined residential environments defined by timeless design, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the landscape of Los Cabos.

 

Working closely with each client from concept through completion, the studio delivers residences that balance architectural clarity, high-quality construction, and the region's unique lifestyle.
